Phyllis Jean Lester

Phyllis Jean Lester, sunrise on October 11, 1945, sunset on August 15, 2024. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 52 years, Rey Lopez, her son Duane Lopez and daughter-in-law Jacquie Perello Lopez. Phyllis was a beloved grandmother to Eve, Elizabeth, Gabe, Jason, Jaron, Jennica, Jerrica and her husband Demetrius, and Jordan and her husband Bryan. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Olivia, Bryson, Ani, Zander, Julia, and Coraline.

Phyllis loved a hot pot of coffee throughout the day and ice cream in the evening. But her primary love was taking care of Papa Rey, the grand-kids and the great-grand-kids. She was famous for her homemade green chili and beans served in a crock-pot. She could host a BBQ at the pavilion without blinking an eye. Phyllis will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 6, 2024 at 2pm, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood.
