Phyllis Oliver Lombardi

November 16, 1944 — December 1, 2019

Phyllis Jane Oliver Lombardi, 75, of Denver, Colorado passed away December 1, 2019. She is survived by her cousins, Lorraine Cushner, Larisa (Alan) Vidmar, Christopher Vidmar & Nicholas Vidmar. Also survived by many cousins & friends.

Phyllis was born to James and Florence Oliver on November 16, 1944, into a north Denver Italian family where she grew up close to her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. A lifelong Denver resident, she graduated from Holy Family high school and started her first job at Columbia Savings and Loan. She moved from banking into her primary career in the oil industry, enjoying many years as an office manager. In her later years she returned to banking as the vault manager at a Denver Chase bank, and retired in 2011.

Favorite activities included lunches and outings with friends, family get togethers, attending live performances, and of course being a lifelong Denver Broncos superfan! She held season tickets since the early 1970's and through the years remained dedicated to her favorite team. She liked different types of music but her heart always belonged to the one and only Elvis Presley! In 1993 she took a dream trip to Italy with her cousin Lorraine and Lorraine's husband Jim.

Phyllis was treasured by her family and her many dear friends. She recently found a new ""family"" of people who loved her at Juniper Village in Louisville where she lived for the last year. She recently enjoyed such activities as visiting the Denver Mint and the Hammond Candy factory, and attended her first Rockies baseball game. She even got her picture taken with an Elvis impersonator who performed for the residents of Juniper Village.

She was a devout Catholic and though she will be greatly missed, we can say goodbye with confidence that she has gone to be with her beloved Lord where she will remain – safe, loved, and watching over us until we are blessedly reunited with her in spirit!

Funeral Mass will be Friday, December 6, 2019, 11am at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 900 West Midway Boulevard, Broomfield. Reception to immediately follow at the church.
