Phyllis Elaine Horth Nicely passed away on Friday, March 15, at the age of 88. Phyllis is predeceased by her devoted husband of 54 years, Roy B. Nicely. Phyllis is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Teri Nicely-Robbins, her son-in-law, Gregory Robbins, her grandson, Kyle Robbins, all of Highlands Ranch, CO, her sister, Jeannette Sweney, Hurst TX, her niece, Susanne (Doug) Sweny Gibson, Plano, TX, her nephew, Mike (Larry) Sweny, Houston, TX, her niece, Carole Sweny Darnell, Atlanta, GA, her nephew, Gary (Melinda) Sweny, Hurst, TX. Phyllis was born in Buffalo, NY, on March 26, 1924, to Floyd & Millicent Horth. She graduated from Millcreek High School, Erie, PA, Class of 1943. After graduation she joined the US Navy WAVES, at the end of WWII. After her service to our country, she worked with IBM as a Computer Instructor in Washington D.C., Evansville, IN, and Dallas, TX. She continued her career as a Domestic Engineer in Texas, Washington, and Utah. And, then retired with Mountain Fuel Supply Company in Salt Lake City where she was employed as a Customer Service Representative. Phyllis enjoyed precious time with family & friends, the great outdoors; camping, hiking, backpacking, water-skiing, snow skiing, snowmobiling, gardening. Phyllis' funeral service will be held at Horan & McConaty Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, CO, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 21. Followed by military honors service, and interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO.
