Phyllis Anne Perrin

July 9, 1932 — October 23, 2011

Phyllis Anne Perrin, 79, passed away October 23, 2011, in Denver, Colorado. She was born July 9, 1932 in Peoria, Illinois to Lyman Parker Davison and Gladys Mary Patton Davison. The oldest of three children, Phyllis and her two brothers Curwood Lyman and Duane Raymond, grew up in an Air Force family. From Peoria, they moved to Valdosta Georgia and were there until the end of World War II. From there, they moved to Walsenburg, Colorado and then Arcadia California where Phyllis graduated from Monrovia High School. She was married to Robert W Davison in 1950 and they moved to Las Animas, Colorado to help on his farm. Soon war broke out again, and Rob joined the Air Force, actually working in the same department as his father in law. She received her LPN in nursing in 1950 and later went to beautician school. Two degrees that she would use throughout her life. She divorced Rob, and raised her three girls mainly on her own working two jobs and long hours to provide for her small family. In 1975 Phyllis married Ross Given Perrin in Westminster, Colorado. Ross had three young children of his own and the two families joined. Living in many parts of Denver, Thornton, Westminster and Aurora proved that moving around must have been in Phyllis' blood. Three years ago with children grown and after the passing of her husband, Phyllis moved in with her daughter Lynda in Aurora and spent the last of her days there. Phyllis is survived by her loving family; her children, Lynda Anne (Kenneth) Cromar, Roberta Joy (Arthur) Queen, Sandra Colleen (Brent) Nelson, Linda Marie Perrin and David Lloyd Perrin; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross G. Perrin; daughter, Betty Jo Perrin and siblings. A viewing will be held on Monday, October 31, 2011, from 4:00-6:00pm, at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Denver, CO. 80014. The Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at 10:00am, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5175 South Picadilly Street, Centennial, CO. 80015.
