Phyllis Jewel Williams

April 27, 1934 — February 3, 2020

Phyllis J. Williams, born April 27, 1934 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Clinton and Winifred McGill, passed away in her home in Lakewood, Colorado on February 3, 2020.

Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Williams. Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Teri (Larry) Chadwell, son Bradley (Tammie) Williams, daughter Tracy (Brendan) Curran, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Phyllis was baptized at Memorial Christian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma and remained a faithful member of the Christian community her entire life.

She comes from a very musically inclined family and started singing for the radio at a very early age and continued to sing throughout her life in the church choir. She also played the piano and organ beautifully.

Phyllis graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree. She also attended Tulsa University, Oklahoma State University and the University of Hawaii. While in college, she pledged to the Sorority of Chi Omega. In her adult years she was a faithful member of PEO, a philanthropic organization. She also had a love of the mountains and enjoyed breakfast cookouts, which was even a request for her 80th birthday, on a very cold day. Her favorite pastimes were tennis with trips to McDonalds afterwards, bike rides followed by a Starbucks treat, playing Bridge, hiking, watching Oklahoma University football which led to the watching of the Cleveland Browns because of the OU quarterback, Baker Mayfield. She also loved watching the Broncos.

Phyllis was active up until the last few months of her life until Metastatic Breast Cancer took her to be with her Lord and Savior.
