Phyllis Clark Wrenick

Phyllis Clark Whitney Wrenick, 101, a long time Denver area resident, passed away on January 9, 2016, in Troy, Ohio. Phyllis was born July 22, 1914 in Gulnare Colorado. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents Frank Clark and Bessie Clark; husbands Byron Whitney and Frank Wrenick; her brother Francis Clark; and two grandsons. Phyllis was raised in the Pine River Valley near Bayfield, Colorado, where her family homesteaded after traveling across the mountains in a covered wagon when she was a young girl. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Phyllis loved square dancing, doing family history research, and was a beautician for many years. She is survived by her children, Douglas Whitney and Lois Wasson; seven grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at 10am, on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., followed by burial at Chapel Hill Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the Humanitarian Fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
