Priscilla Archuleta Romero Tolmich, 92, of Denver, Colorado passed away of natural causes on March 1, 2020. She was surrounded by family at her side when she was called home.
She is a native of Colorado, born to Margaret Baca and Benjamin Archuleta on August 24, 1927 in Walsenburg, Colorado. She lived in Trinidad, Colorado with her mother, Margaret, and step-father, Alex Romero, before moving to Denver. She stated that living and growing up in Trinidad with her siblings was one of her most cherished times of her life. She met her husband, Manuel, and was married at a young age. She went on to become the mother of six children and worked as a homemaker. She worked several jobs in her life often going without the finer things in life to insure her children had the necessities of life to succeed (she sacrificed for her family up to the day she passed). Together with her husband they ran a Mexican American restaurant (Manny's in North Denver) for several years and took pride in serving the best food in the neighborhood. She was a kind caring person to all she met (but she did it without openly showing it). She was especially proud of the grand babies she helped raise.
She overcame many challenges with her health â fighting cancer and beating it was her biggest challenge.
She was married to the late Manuel Christopher Tolmich also formerly of Walsenburg Colorado. Priscilla is preceded in death by spouse, Manuel; father, Benjamin; mother, Margaret; step-father, Alex Romero (she considered Alex her father); and daughter, Sherry Tolmich; as well as several siblings. Priscilla is survived by children, Dale, Dennis, Gerald, John and daughter, Christine. She leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as great great grandchildren. There are children of step-father, Alex Romero, that she was raised with and considered them as brothers and sisters.
