Quentin R. Konecny, 88, of Denver, passed away on October 26, 2016 in Denver. Rosary Service will be on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 7:15 pm at Horan & McConaty, 3101 S Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80227. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 12pm (Noon) at Holy Name Catholic Church, 3290 W Milan Ave, Sheridan, CO 80110 with Father Sean McGrath officiating. Reception following Funeral Services at Holy Name Catholic Church. Funeral procession will leave Holy Name Catholic Church at 245 pm and proceed to Fort Logan National Cemetery for Interment Services starting at 315 pm. Quentin was born in Denver to Otilia & Francis Konecny on April 13, 1928. He married Dolores (Dodie) Vawter on February 17, 1950 in Denver. He was a Navy veteran who served during World War II. He worked as a Police Officer for the Denver Police Department for 25 years. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4844 and served a term as a Grand Knight. Quentin is preceded in death by his Father, Mother and Brother. Quentin is survived by his spouse, Dodie, his four children, Steve and his spouse Susan, Tom and his spouse Barb, Kathy and her spouse Dave, Sharon and her spouse David and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
