Ralph Wilmot Moore, 87 formerly of Salida, Colorado, died February 11, 2011 in Thornton, Colorado. He was born April 9, 1923 in Toledo, Ohio, to Vernun S. and Mary (Spracklen) Moore. He served in the Army of the United States during World War II. He graduated in 1948 from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He specialized in instrumentation and control systems for the petroleum industry. He and his wife, Donna, retired to Salida in 1985 where they enjoyed life in a smaller town. Mr. Moore became active in the Sertoma organization and civic affairs. He was also a Life Member of the National Model Railroad Association. Ralph moved to Thornton in 2008. Mr. Moore is survived by his son, Ralph W. Moore II of Thornton. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and a brother, Fred S. Moore. Per Mr. Moore's wishes, there will be no memorial service. Cremation was selected and his remains will be interred with his wife on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 10 AM, Toledo Memorial Park.
