Ralph B. Rhodes

Ralph Beauford Rhodes was born Jan 31, 1933 in Charleston, South Carolina and passed away at his Denver home on September 1, 2015. Ralph had a thirst for knowledge and adventure, whether it be his voracious appetite for reading, history, scuba diving, driving sportscars or experiencing the running of the bulls in Pamplona. Ralph arrived in Denver in 1956 and married Shelia Nelson in 1958, and together they raised four beautiful daughters. Ralph is survived by Shelia, as well as daughters Stacy (Tom Cullen), Lisa (Bill Caley), Morgan (Tim Thomas) and Shannon (Paul Davis), as well as his beloved grandchildren, Kelsey Cullen, Hayden Cullen and Peyton Rhodes-Wheat. Ralph earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia, followed by a Masters Degree from the University of Colorado and a Law Degree from the University of Denver. He practiced law as a defense attorney in the Denver metro area for over 40 years, where he was well known for challenging the status quo and defending constitutional rights while always impeccably dressed and personally engaging.
