Ralph L. Toren, PE Ralph Toren was born December 8, 1926 in Brocket, North Dakota and died on January 12, 2010 at his home in Denver, Colorado. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Elizabeth, four daughters: Mary (Warren) Blair, Margot (Sean) Warren, Carol Toren, and Kristin (Rick) Whitworth, 9 grandchildren: Shannon, Tori, Ian, Travis, Kyra, Quinn, Maren, Kari, and Robby, three sisters: Gunny, Dorothy & Linda, three brothers: Knut, Melvin, & John, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ralph was dedicated to his family, his church, and his career in Civil Engineering. He worked over 50 years as a Civil Engineer, specializing in irrigation and water rights, and worked in several different countries including Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, and Haiti. He was a proud life member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and loved his work. Memorial Services will be held Sunday, January 17, 2010, 2:00 PM at Christ the King Lutheran Church at 2300 S. Patton Court in Denver, Colorado.
