On April 12, 2021 Ralph “Randy” Randolph Meek, a loving husband and father, entered into eternal life. Randy passed away at Littleton Adventist Hospital after a short illness, at the age of 73. Randy is pre-deceased by his parents, Marjorie and Donald Meek. He is survived by his beloved wife Nancy of almost 29 years of marriage and 2 children; his son Kevin Meek of Littleton and his wife Suzette, and his daughter Krista Dome of Surprise Arizona and her husband Christian. He is also survived by his Grandchildren, Colter and Caden Meek, Avery, Ella and Adalyn Dome. In addition, he is survived by his step-daughter Kimberly Drobny of Celina, Texas, her husband Brian, and three daughters Kyra, Samantha and Taylor Drobny. Randy is also survived by his sister Kathleen Hill, her husband Chuck and many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews , Cousins and Friends.
Randy was born in Pueblo Colorado on February 26, 1948. He attended County HS where he was an All Star Basketball player. He moved to Englewood in 1965 and graduated from Englewood HS in 1966. After graduation Randy attended the University of Colorado in Boulder for a short time, decided college was not for him, so he then joined the Navy. Randy was in the Navy for 4 years on the USS America during the Vietnam Era and traveled around the world during that time .
Randy married Nancy on July 11, 1992 and moved from Aurora to Parker in 1994. Randy loved living in Parker on their acreage— no horses, but just having land and space between neighbors made him content . Randy was employed by Bunzl Distribution for over 20 years before retiring in 2004. Randy loved to travel; taking frequent cruises to the Caribbean, and several trips to Las Vegas and Mexico. Randy also enjoyed skiing, camping and fishing in the Colorado Mountains. Randy loved to socialize with friends and family, playing card games and always entertaining others with his funny songs and sayings.
Randy was a selfless person always offering unconditional love to his children and family. Randy eagerly accepted his mother-in-law into his home when she could no longer live by herself in New Jersey, always assisting with her care and providing meals and companionship to Peggy when Nancy was at work.
Randy was a very strong, resilient man; even in light of all his illnesses and hospitalizations, Randy never complained when health issues developed and was always willing to move forward with the treatment plans prescribed for him, to ensure a quick recovery. Randy’s health did decline over the past year and daily activities were very difficult for him. Throughout his health challenges he was always surrounded with love and encouragement by all those who were close to him.
