Randy Goscha, lifelong resident of the Denver metro area, passed away on January 23, 2019 at the age of 67.
Randy is survived by his wife of 47 years, Colleen Goscha as well as children Jennifer (Tom), Kevin (Holly), Chris (Amber), stepmother Charlene Goscha and grandchildren Ezra (11), Kyan (9), Edyn (7), Eli (5) and Owen (17 months).
Son of Victor and Peggy Goscha, Randy grew up with his rowdy brothers and sweet sister in Lakewood (Rick, Russ, Ross, Rory, Ron and Conny Fortner).
After attending Mullen and graduating from Lakewood High, Randy went to work for Vic's family business, Edgewater Typewriter, which later changed to Edgewater Office Supplies. Vic was known as ""The Eagle"" for his regal wisdom and power, and Randy came to be known as ""Crow"" for his busy caretaking of all various demands of the business. After Edgewater dissolved in 1991, Randy continued his career as a regional sales representative until his recent retirement. Randy was a very hard worker and a charismatic salesman who was well liked by everyone. He took great pride in providing well for his family.
Randy enjoyed meeting new people and was a friend to everyone, he would give you the shirt off his back. His enthusiasm was infectious, he was always excited to hear about everyone's passions. Randy ran on a motor that never slowed down, he was always busy working in the yard, or working on remodeling projects with Colleen. He spent many, many hours honing his craft as a self taught painter, carpenter, tile layer, plumber and electrician. What he lacked in patience he made up for with determination.
Randy loved anything with a motor- boats, motorcycles, snowmobiles and fast luxury sedans- but especially American muscle cars. He cherished the time he spent as the pit monkey and cheerleader for all the Goscha drag racers at Bandimere Speedway and Douglas Motorsports Park, and even raced his beloved ""Kitty"", the 1973 Dodge Challenger that he restored and loved. Randy had so many beautiful cars over the years, and he took immaculate care of them all. He loved the smell of burning gas and burning rubber and especially the roar of a massive motor. YES!!!
""Gramps"" was a wonderful and loving grandfather, father, husband and friend. He loved a good party, loud music and boisterous fun. He was a gracious host and always welcomed many guests into his and Colleen's beautiful home. If anyone was ever in need, Randy was the first to listen or offer help. Randy had a unique sense of humor and was always smiling and laughing. Randy was a devoted husband who adored his wife, his love for Colleen was apparent in the many things he did for her.
Randy will be missed by everyone who knew him.
