Ray Allen Moss, 73, known to most as Allen, sadly left us on February 15th, 2023. He was born to Raymond and Hazel Moss in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Allen served 10 years in the Marine Corps as a Radio Technician, including two tours of duty in Vietnam and also served as an Embassy Guard in Saigon. He met the love of his life, Julie, in 1973 and were married the same year in Geneva, Switzerland. Allen was honorably discharged from the Marines after reaching the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. After leaving the military in 1979 he started work at 3M and Imation, where he retired after 28 years, as a Master Technician. Allen and Julie were married for 49 loving years and longtime residents of Brush and Fountain Colorado.
Allen loved using his hands and had many hobbies including a love of woodworking, 3D printing, drone-building and all forms of electronic tinkering. He was always interested in the latest gadgets and technologies.
He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Hazel; sister, Evelyn; and brother, Harold. Allen is survived by his wife, Julie; his brother Don Moss (Gena); three sons, Shawn (Sarah), Justin and Jason (Brenda), and two grandchildren, Avery and Zayden.
A memorial service will be held at Ft. Logan Cemetery at 1:15pm on Friday, March 17th, 2023.
