Raymond âRayâ Stanley Blunk, 92, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away peacefully on August, 4, 2017. Born May 9, 1925 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Forrest Stanley and Margaret Anna (Stewart) Blunk. Ray served our country during WWII in the Army Air Corp as a member of the 493rd Bomb Group and the 863rd Bomb Squadron. Ray attended the University of Wyoming where he met and married Betty Louise on August 29, 1947. Fifteen years later, he finished his degree in Business by attending night school at the University of Denver. Ray was a man of many talents and interests. He retired as a Landman in the Oil and Gas industry, a Stockbroker and loved working as an Actor in many commercials and television productions. At the age of 65, Ray and his brother decided to become Sheep Ranchers at the XX Ranch, Tie Siding, Wyoming. He was a member of the Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. He and Betty were also active with Weimaraner Club of America and they were very proud of their Field Trial champions. Family members include his daughter, Barbara (Mark) Lane, and son Barry (Gayle Ahrens) Blunk; grandchildren, Ashlee Blunk, Ryan Blunk, Emily (Travis) Barnes, Abigail Lane; Niece, Sally Blunk Clark and Nephew Scott (Rachel) Blunk. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Louise Blunk and his brother, Forrest Stewart Blunk. Please join the Lane and the Blunk families as we celebrate the life of Raymond Blunk.
