Raymond James Ditter (Jim), age 88, passed away on October 8th, 2024. Jim was born on January 8th, 1936, in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from North High School, Class of 1954, where he met his wife of 61 years, Myrna Grossklag.
Jim served in the U.S. Army for four years and was stationed in Germany. This allowed him to travel all over Europe and visit many different Countries, growing his love of travel. He enjoyed traveling with friends and family. One of his favorite places to visit was Hawaii, and he spent several vacations there with family and friends.
He worked for United Airlines in the Reservations Data Center for over 45 years then retired and devoted time to the Fellowship Covenant Church. Jim was very active in the church as a member of the choir and a Deacon for many, many years.
Jim loved working on puzzles, doing arts and crafts, and quilting. He and Myrna loved creating bed quilts, table runners, and placemats that they could sell at craft shows and give as gifts. They also donated quilts to numerous charities throughout the years.
Jim is Survived by his two sons, Paul Ditter and Thomas (Tina) Ditter, and four Grandchildren, Justin Wedow, Nicholas Ditter, Virginia Ditter, and Alyssa Ditter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Rose Ditter (Koch); sister Charlotte Smutzler, and his wife, Myrna.
His memory will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone who knew him as well as those that were lucky enough to meet him in passing.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, November 2nd at the Fellowship Covenant Church (5615 w 64th Ave, Arvada, CO 80003).
