Raymond E. Dougherty

October 25, 1934 — August 10, 2015

Raymond Edgar Dougherty, 80, of Arvada, Colorado, passed away August 10, 2015. Ray was born October, 1934 in Denver to Henry James and Dorothy Mae Huling Dougherty. Ray worked in Route sales at Rainbow Bread, Puritan Pie, Frito Lay, Little Debbie, Archway Cookies, and Mothers Cookies. He was Salesman of the Year for all companies he worked for. His military Service with the U.S. Army was with the 101st Airborne as sharp shooter and Paratrooper. He loved all sports but football was his favorite. Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Beth; children, Jim and Sherrie, and John; four grandchildren, Alex, Sean, Kenneth and Sarah; three great-grandchildren, Eli, Katie and Amelia; two sisters, Patti Thompson and Jan Steffen; and other extended family members and friends. A Memorial Service for Ray will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015, 10:30am at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7757 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado. Memorial donations may be made in Ray's name to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
