Raymond Hewett

Raymond (Ray) Hewett passed away on September 19, 2021 in Aurora, Colorado.

He is survived by his daughter Stacey Hewett and sister Linda (Pat) Donovan. He was born in 1937 just outside of Densmore Kansas to Francis and Marie Hewett.

Ray graduated from Norton County High School in 1954. He placed 4th in the Kansas State wrestling tournament his Senior year.  After graduation, he joined the US Navy. He was stationed in Japan for a time and was honorably discharged as an AT3 in 1960. He went on to marry the love of his life Karren that same year and moved to Denver, Colorado. He was employed in various occupations such as a warehouse manager for a beer distribution company, a warehouse worker for a catering company, custodian for the USPS, and finally retiring as a custodian for Cresthill Middle School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. He had many different hobbies over the years, including collecting antiques, fishing, Hamm radio, computers, digital photography, and drawing. He also loved to frequent the flea markets and thrift stores for a bargain treasure. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Memorial services will be held Monday, October 4, 2021, 11am at Horan & McConaty 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora, CO 80014, with a reception to follow.
