He entered the Army at the age of 17, married Flora Jean O'Rourke, and served one year in the Korean war. Then in 1972, he married Dee, who had two young girls that he took on as his own.
Bob loved being outdoors, hunting, and spending time with his family. He was a skilled bowman, who ran his own bow shop for many years, and surrounded himself with his taxidermy.
Bob enjoyed the simple things in life. A good bowl of spaghetti and a cold beer were enough to keep a smile on his face. Although a man of few words, Bob loved deeply and lived his life with kindness and joy. His sweet disposition, laughter, and joyous heart will be remembered and deeply missed.
