Raymond Leo Pattermann

October 3, 1937 — August 12, 2015

Ray, 77, passed away leaving his loving wife Donna of 48 years. He was the owner and operator of Ray's Carpet Cleaning for the last 37 years.Ray and Donna married on July 1, 1967 in Illinois. They moved to Aurora, CO in 1970 where they raised their family. Ray was the owner of Sherwood Family Restaurant, Robin's Omelette House and Jim's Cafe in Denver, before starting Ray's Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning in 1979. To the great pleasure of his customers, family and friends, he created R.I.B.S (Ray's International Bar-B-Que Sauce) in the 1980's. Ray enjoyed a good joke and was always ready to share one. He liked working with his customers and over the years considered many of them to be good friends.Ray placed great importance in his personal relationship with God. He had a strong faith and was a devout Roman Catholic. As part of his faith journey, he prayed the Rosary daily. He loved his children and grandchildren and cherished the time he spent with them. But most of all his loved his beautiful wife Donna, with whom he shared 48 wonderful years of marriage. Through good times and bad and in sickness and health, they persevered and relished their time together. He is survived by his son T.J.(Laura) their children Morgan & Lauren; daughter Tami (Bob) Steine and their children Taylor, Madi, & Carter; daughter Tracy (Eric) Lewis and their children Shelby & Shayla ; and daughter Tawny Pattermann and her son Teagan. A visitation will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 from 5-7PM with a rosary to follow immediately after at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel in Aurora. A funeral mass will be Tuesday, August 18 at 10AM at Queen of Peace in Aurora with a burial to follow at 2:30PM at St. Simeon Cemetery in Aurora. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest memorials to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, American Cancer Society or the Wayfaring Band.
