Raymond ""Doug"" Peterson

Raymond ""Doug"" Peterson, 76 of Arvada passed away on February 10, 2019 at St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood. Born on April 25, 1942 in Illinois he was the son of the late Raymond Elmer and Mina Mae (La Rue) Peterson. Doug married Montana Nichols on February 21, 1970 and together they shared 48 years of marriage. Montana passed away in June of 2018.
Doug was a Colorado State Trooper Pilot for 24 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, walking his dog, fly fishing, and good food!
He is survived by his sons, Tyr (Shanna) Peterson and Kenneth Karnes, his grandchildren, Asa Peterson & Magnus Peterson.
A graveside service to honor Doug will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 2pm at Arvada Cemetery, 5581 Independence St. Arvada, CO 80002. Celebration of Life to follow service at School House Kitchen & Libations, 5660 Olde Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada, CO 80002. All are welcome.
