Raymond H. Welch 1935 '"" 2009 Ray was born in a small farmhouse in Omaha Illinois on February 7th, 1935. The third child of Lawrence and Alyne, he attended school, played with his friends, and was as mischievous as any other little boy. After moving to Pueblo Colorado, Ray served in the US Air Force, Stationed in Alaska. Growing up in Illinois made him well-suited for the climate, although he would disagree. Ray was the loving father of two children (Rick and Kim), and numerous step-children. But his greatest joy came from his grandchildren (Nick, Lindsay, Gregory, and Taylor) and his great-grandchildren ( Kyle, Faith). Reading 'ËTwas The Night Before Christmas every Christmas eve always brought a smile to the entire house. Ray's greatest personal achievement aside from his college degree was Ray Welch & Associates (RWA). Begun in a Phoenix apartment, Ray grew this endeavor into a very successful business that was well respected in the business community in Denver, Pueblo, and several other major markets. But through all his accomplishments, his wonderfully oddball sense of humor will be missed the most. For those that have been the target of his jabs, they will have that much more to remember him by. For those that never had first-hand experience with his humor, none could avoid his infamous 'Ëshortcuts', which inevitably grew into some of the longest shortcuts on record. Ray is survived by his adoring wife Donna. Married on a beach in Hawaii, their short but eventful time together brought great joy to them both. We all love you, and you will never ever be forgotten.
