Lt. Col. Raymond Eugene Wilson USAF RET Born Dec 1, 1918 in Irwin, PA Was the youngest son of Mary Elizabeth Byerly and William Mathias Wilson. One sibling an older brother Woodrow Wilson. Survived by Wife of 53 years Marian Jones Wilson, and Son Raymond Eugene Wilson Jr. Stepsons Richard Lee Carlson and Thomas Alvin Carlson. Also survived by Nieces, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Went to Marysville College in Knoxville Tenn for two years. Then enlisted in the US Army towards the end of WWII. Went to Officers Training School and became Commissioned Army officer. Was a chemical warfare instructor, and also a munitions instructor. Joined the Army Air Corps and became commissioned officer in the US Air Force. Worked for the Strategic Air Command in missile and aircraft maintenance. Was Squadron Commander of several different maintenance squadrons. Retired from military service in 1969 and moved to Denver, Colorado. During his retirement Raymond and wife Marian took many extended vacations in Western Europe. Raymond Passed peacefully on May 1st, 2010 at the age of 91.
