Rebecca Chavez, 90, is survived by her sister, Ethel Abeyta; children Barbara ""Cookie"", Peter ""Sluggo"", Tim, Chris and Lori; 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Joe C. Chavez. Visitation with Rosary to follow will be held on Sunday, Aug. 24 from 2 - 4 PM at Horan and McConaty Funeral Home, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Aug. 25 at 10 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 9371 Wigham St, Thornton. Entombment to follow at Mt. Olivet.
