Renee Sianko

Reneé Sianko passed away peacefully on April 30, 2021. She was the daughter of Alice and Bill McMechen. Reneé is survived by her daughter Audrey Hall (spouse James), mother Alice, brothers Angus McMechen & William McMechen (spouse Brad Case) and sister-in-law Marcia Hannum. She was preceded in death by her father Bill. She will be sorely missed by her family and the many kind, loving and generous friends who made the past few years very joyous.

Reneé was born on July 31, 1958, and grew up in the Littleton area. She attended Littleton High School, and then college at the University of Northern Colorado where she received a degree in education. After graduation, she enjoyed a long career as a teacher in the Cherry Creek School District where she shared her love for learning, books and theater with all of her students. Beyond teaching, Reneé enjoyed traveling, reading, painting, crafts, working with flowers, and spending time with family and friends. We will all miss her spectacular parties, the planning of which she threw herself into with abandon.

A service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a memorial gift to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (komencolorado.org) or one supporting the arts, such as the Littleton Town Hall Arts Center (townhallartscenter.org).
