Reverend Joseph M. Carbone

Rev. Joseph M. Carbone, O.S.M., 85, of Denver died Dec. 7, 2011. He was a member of the Servite Order for 60 years. He was born and raised across the street from Mt. Carmel and was ordained in Rome in 1959. He proudly served at his home parish of Mt. Carmel as an Asst. and Pastor, as well as other Servite Parishes in various states. He was known for his gentleness and table hospitality. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be Saturday at 12:00 Noon until 6:00pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3020 Federal Blvd. Denver, Colorado Rosary will be Sunday at 6:30pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10:00am, both at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church located at 3549 Navajo St. Denver, Colorado. Interment to be at Mt. Olivet, following the Funeral mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mullen Home, or St. Vincent de Paul at Mt. Carmel.
