Reverend Charles Harman

Reverend Charles Harman, 85, of Aurora passed away on August 11, 2019. Born on August 5, 1934 in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Charles, after earning a Master's of Divinity, found his vocation as an Ordained Lutheran Clergyman. He served from 1961 to 2019 in several congregations; Resurrection Lutheran in Gretna, Nebraska; St. Peter's Lutheran in Hildreth, Nebraska; 1st St. Paul's Lutheran in Grand Island, Nebraska ; Father Flanagan's Home for Boys in Omaha, Nebraska where he was the first full time Protestant Chaplain; St. Timothy's Lutheran in Omaha, Nebraska and Holy Love Lutheran in Aurora, Colorado to retirement; Supply Pastor in Salt Lake City, Casper, Wyoming and Sydney, Nebraska; Discovery Job Network.

He was a caring and giving individual with a huge heart. He enjoyed extensive reading; traveling the World as well as the United States, as well as spending time with people. He especially loved the elderly and children and was loved by many.

Charles was survived by his loving wife, Waltraud (Wally) Harman of 59 years; son, Timothy; daughter, Christine; grandchildren Brian Harman, Andrea Fish, Miranda Harman, Jacob Harman, Deanne Urton, Sherann Graham, Rachel Elias; six great grandchildren; his sister and brother-in-law of Redwing, Minnesota Virginia and Dale Sorensen; nephews, Wally, Mike and Eric Sorensen; and niece Linda Sorensen Pekowsky and their spouses.

He is proceeded in death by his son, Rollin Harman, and parents, Ulric and Wilma Harman.

A viewing will be held at 7:00PM Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, CO 80122.

Services will be held at 1:00PM Sunday, August 18th at Peace with Christ Lutheran Church, Officiant Josh Krepel, 3290 South Tower Road, Aurora, Colorado 80013, and will be officiated by Reverend Josh Krepel
