Reverend Monsignor Lawrence St. Peter

Rev. Msgr. Lawrence St. Peter died Aug, 18, 2003, in Denver, Colorado. He was born in Ashland, Maine. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force at Lowry Air Force Base and was ordained a Priest in Denver in 1959 after attending St. Thomas Seminary. He served the diocese in many capacities, including Superintendent of Schools, Vicar of Priests, Pastor of Risen Christ Catholic Church, Holy Family Catholic Church, Mother of God Catholic Church, all in Denver; and St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Buffalo Creek, Colorado. Upon the death of Archbishop Casey in 1986, he served as Administrator of the Denver Archdiocese until the appointment of the new bishop. He served nationally on several boards related to Catholic education. He survived by two sisters, Pauline Willett of Presque Isle, Maine and Jean Smith of Centennial, Colorado; as well as many nieces and nephews throughout the United States, including Scott Morin of Westminster, Colorado. Mass of the Resurrection, Friday 10 a.m. Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 13120 E. Kentucky Ave. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whet Ridge, Colorado.
