Reynold Gomez

Our family sadly lost Reynold, age 80, of Littleton, Colorado, who lived a fulfilling life as husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. Reynold could accomplish anything he set his mind to and was a man of passion and strength.  He loved spending time with family, fly fishing and cheering at his granddaughter’s Volleyball games and grandson's Hockey games. Reynold was born in rural Weld County Colorado and grew up in Rock Springs, WY. He graduated from Superior High School, Superior, WY in 1960 and joined the U.S. Navy. While stationed at Brunswick Naval Air Base in Maine he met his one and only, Theresa Margaret Roy; and, within the year, they were married and they spent the next 58 years making wonderful memories. He was an electronic technician in the Navy and pursued this career with Honeywell and the U.S. Postal Service.

Reynold's legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with. His undying love will always be with us.  As Reynold always reminded us, all that we really take with us or leave behind is love.

Reynold is survived by his wife, Theresa Margaret (Roy) Gomez, their two daughters; Ange Roy and Gina Holub of Lone Tree, CO, along with grandchildren Olivia Holub and Colton Holub.  Reynold is also survived by one sister, Corina (Simeon) Bautista of Wenatchee, WA and three brothers, Joe Gomez and Benny Gomez of Rock Springs, WY and Abel (Leslie) Gomez of College Station, TX.  Other surviving family members are  Brother-in-Law Richard (Martha) Roy of Tomball, TX, Sisters-in-Law Jacqueline Roy of San Antonio, TX, Fidelas (Ralph) Portillo of Rock Springs, WY, Kelly Gomez of Colorado Springs, CO and several nieces and nephews. Reynold was preceded in death by his parents, Abel and Eloisa (Aragon) Gomez, and four brothers, Tony, Leroy, Davy and Domingo Gomez.

Mass of Christian Burial at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Rd., Littleton, CO December 15th  at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow.

Inurnment Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO, December 15th at 1:30 p.m.
