Ricardo Ginn, born in Vernville, South Carolina in September of 1974 and passed away peacefully in his sleep in Denver, Colorado, November of 2024, at the beautiful age of 50.
Big Boy was a rambunctious child who always took life's adventures and had his own extra seasoning. He loved sports, especially football, but if he had a ticket to a game any game, in his hand he would go just for the experience. Big Rick could drive a seven-passenger van before the age of 10. Some may not know, but Yogie loved drawing as a child and finding ways to be creative, even as an adult. He would hem his own clothes. Sew his own buttons back on and even make collages of sports events and concerts he attended. His love for music was unmeasurable. He always knew the latest songs and trends. His music catalog knowledge would destroy our phone storage.
He was a Jack of all trades when it came to occupation. Rick could steam your carpets , remodel your house, interior decorate your room, drive you cross country in a big wheeler, manage a kitchen full of staff and keep the customers happy, All while rolling a blunt only in an original Swisher Sweet wrapper. He was disciplined and loving enough to train dogs, his favorite animal. He gained the knowledge and discipline and worth ethic from being in ROTC through high school and from his beloved parents. Who thought that one day he might be a football star not knowing one day he would become a star football coach of the Park Hill falcons.
He never had children of his own but he loved his falcons. If he made you write a letter of "why am I committed to my team?" He cherished every word that you wrote. He had more children in this lifetime than he ever could have imagined. Any advice he gave he gave with the greatest intentions.
Carter is survived by his parents Gene and Lease Ginn. His older sister Thessalonica Ginn -Marshall, his nephew Carlton Ginn-Marshall, his younger brother and sister-in-law, Quantas and Katherine Ginn, his niece and nephew, Amari and Ezekiel Ginn, his younger sister and brother-in-law, Shenise and Dell Cobb and dozens of cousins, aunts and uncles, The Wasko family and his Legion of Brothers.
He will be welcomed to the other side by both sets of grandparents Dolly and Henry White, O'Neal and Willie Ginn with a few close relatives, friends, and cherished four legged friends.
