Richard Arndt grew up in New Rochelle, N.Y. He attended Kenyon College in Ohio, and then joined the U.S. Marine Corps. After his military service, he attended the Uneversity of Denver, then joined the Peace Corps and served in Colombia. He earned a PhD at the University of New Mexico and taught at the University of Utah for several years. He later worked for Action and the Vista Volunteer programs, and later returned to Peace Corps as a recruiter and program director. He is survived by his wife, Judy Haddow, stepson, Geoffrey Vernon, sister Annie Ottersberg and many long time friends. Committal Service will be held on Friday, August 17th, 12pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado 80235.
