Richard G. Batty

Left this earth to be with our Lord on Wednesday, September 12, 2007. After a brief, yet courageous battle with cancer. Survived by his beloved wife of 54 years Delores; son Richard Batty and fiancee Claudia Ross of Pinedale, Wyoming; son and daughter~in~law Scott and Pamela Batty of Queen Creek, Arizona; daughter and son~in~law Kristi, and Dennis Bromner of Arvada; Grandchildren Brian Batty, Jennifer Thomas, Daniel Bremmer, Erik Bremmer, & Ryan Batty. Dick was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Sam and Dora Batty on January 18th 1935. He grew up on a farm in Lewiston, Nebraska with his brothers Sam, Lloyd (deceased) and sister Karen. Dick served his country as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He later moved to Lincoln, Nebraska to embark on a successful 41 year career with Benefical Management Corp. In retirment, Dick enjoyed playing golf and sharing time with his devoted wife, children, and grandchilden. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, September 15th at Horan & McConaty, 9998 Grant Street in Thornton.
