Husband, Father, Brother, Son, Friend. Survived by his loving wife, Maggie, and their three children, Liz, Alex, and Rachel; parents, Marge and Dick Coates; brothers, Ted (Carol), John (Sandy), Bob (Vanessa), Paul, Tim, and Kevin (Sheree); sister, Sue Newman (Ric); numerous nieces , nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and in-laws (oh he loved those in-laws). He was preceded in death by his sister Peg. Visitation, Saturday, September 26, 2015, 2PM-5PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado. Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 27, 2015, 6:30PM-9:00PM at The Ranch, 11887 Tejon Street, Westminster, Colorado. He was a proud Alumni of Regis High School ('68), University of Colorado ('75), and Regis University ('93). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation because he loved his breast cancer survivor. He loved life, loved his family and friends, loved golf, and loved the Banquet.
