- Richard Daniel Fisher (Rich) was called home to God on October 31, 2024. The world was blessed with his existence for 80 years. Rich died peacefully at his home in his favorite recliner with a cowboy movie playing on the television and his beloved dog Dude beside him. Although his passing was unexpected, if he could’ve written how his story would end this would have been it. Rich was born and grew up in Flint, Michigan. He had a close, loving and large family. Rich was the 10th of 11 children to Patrick and Alma Fisher who will be waiting for him at heaven’s gate. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ernie. Harry, Lawrence, and Fred and sisters Margaret, Mary, Dort, Rita and Patty. He is survived by younger brother Charles (Chuck) and his wife Patti. From those 10 siblings came many nephews and nieces who he loved each and every one of. Rich quickly became part of Amy’s family and was considered a son to Bill and Marie Blay who also preceded him in death. Brother to Rick and Linda Brown and Uncle to many nieces and nephews in Arkansas. Rich is also preceded in death by his son Bryan and daughter Kimberly. Son Rich and his wife Dana live in Florida with Grandson, Austin. Rich moved to Colorado in 1974 where he met and married Amy and they had recently celebrated 50 years of love and happiness together. Rich accomplished much in his life. He was a master plumber most of his working years. No achievement was greater than being a kind, loving, generous man to everyone he met. He was the neighborhood good guy you could always call for help with just about anything. Rich and Amy bought a home in Northglenn, Colorado in 1988 and loved the home and the neighborhood so much that is where they have lived since. Rich chose to be cremated and there are no services planned at this time. At a future date a celebration of his life will be planned.
