Richard David Fernandez

Richard David Fernandez, 77, passed away on November 12, 2024, in Denver, CO. Born on December 24, 1946, Richard's life was marked by his deep love for his family and his country. A proud Vietnam Veteran, Richard's service to his nation was a significant chapter in his life, reflecting his dedication and bravery.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Anna Fernandez; his children, Shawn Fernandez (Nichole) and David Fernandez (Jennifer); his sister, Marie Garcia (Jerry); and his cherished grandchildren, Alec, Abby, Jax, and David Jr. Fernandez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dora and Max Fernandez, and his siblings, Inez Aragon, Bernadine Paiz, and Albert Fernandez.

Throughout his life, Richard was an avid traveler and enjoyed a range of outdoor activities including golf, fishing, camping, and gardening. These hobbies brought him great joy and provided lasting memories for his family and friends.

A service to honor Richard's life will be held at Horan & McConaty Funeral Services and Cremation, On December 2nd at 1:00 P.M., located at 9998 Grant St., Thornton, CO, 80229. The service will be followed by a reception at the Elks Lodge at 3850 Elks Dr, Westminster, CO, 80030-6011, from 2:30 to 5:30.

Richard's life was a testament to his love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
