Richard Lee Graham

Richard Lee Graham, 73, of Arvada, Colorado passed away peacefully on March 10, 2015. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Ayrton) Graham; sister Marsha Graham; children Mary Graham, Sam Graham, Aimee Worland (John Worland), Jennifer Furrey (Josh Furrey), and Eric Graham; grandchildren - Windy Armstrong, Isabella Worland, Aaron Worland, Hannah Worland, Genaveve Worland, Layla Furrey, and Ian Worland. He was preceded in death by his father Daniel Graham and his mother Erma (Cottrell) Graham. Richard was born March 21, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from Highland High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mineralogy from the University of Utah. Richard served a mission in Toronto, Canada for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Richard was an avid explorer as his work allowed him to travel and explore the western United States. As a devoted geologist, his hobby included rock, mineral, fossil and gem collecting. Later in life he enjoyed, stamp collecting, trains, astronomy, and taking long car rides to the mountains. Viewing will be Friday, March 13, 2015, from 6-8 PM, at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, in Arvada, Colorado. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Alkire Building, 12995 West 72nd Avenue, Arvada, Colorado. The Interment will follow the Funeral Service at Arvada Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials donations may be made in Richard's honor to: The American Diabetes Association 2460 West 26th Avenue #500C, Denver, Colorado 80211 Richard's family invites you to share your memories by signing the guestbook below.
