Richard ""Dick"" Hodges, 91, of Lakewood Colorado, passed away on March 13, 2018. Dick was born in Denver and was the youngest of 6 brothers. He grew up in Denver and went to Cathedral High School and graduated in 1943. He enlisted in the US Navy and served in WW II. In 1946 Dick returned to Denver and went to Regis College where he received his undergraduate degree in history. He went on to Notre Dame University and received his graduate degree in law. He returned to Denver and had many adventures with his older brothers, his parents and friends. He met Ann Witherow in 1956, at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Denver and they were married in December, 1957. They moved to Casper Wyoming and met lifelong friends, working at Chevron Oil Company, raising families, playing bridge and card games. They moved back to Denver in 1968 with Chevron. Dick and Ann have 5 children, Celeste, (Joan), Richard, ( Ludmila ), Mary Ann (David French), Denny (Arlene) and Dan. His beloved wife, Ann and son, Dan have preceded him in death. Dick has 4 amazing grandchildren: Andrew, Brittany, Will and Samantha, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, friends and his church community of 50 years, St. Jude Catholic Church. Dick was known for wonderful parties, a keen sense of humor, questioning social discussions, skiing and climbing mountains, and a strong belief in volunteer work and community service. Viewing Thursday 4pm-7pm followed Rosary at 7pm, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. Funeral Mass Friday, 10:00 am, St. Jude Catholic Church, 9405 W. Florida Ave. Lakewood, CO, followed by a reception. Graveside service 2pm, Mountain View Cemetery, Longmont, CO. In lieu of flowers, donations, in Dick's name, may be made to the church or Regis University in Denver.
