On April 21, 2020 Richard Hoffer left us to be reunited with his wife, Agnes Hoffer on his 86th birthday.
Richard was born in Dickinson, North Dakota on April 21, 1934. He and his family lived in Montana, Utah, Idaho, Louisiana, West Virginia and finally landed in Colorado. He earned an Associates degree in Civil Engineering and retired as a Drafting Engineer Supervisor in the oil, gas and mineral industry. Richard served in the Army and Airforce reserves, and was a member of The Knights of Columbus.
Richard is survived by his sister Jean McNally; children Shelly Dean (Bruce), Valery Turek (Frank), Thomas Hoffer (Lannetta), and Jerry Hoffer (Kim); he has 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and his special friend Darlene Sheveland. Richard was preceded in death by his wife Agnes Hoffer, daughter Cheryl Elliott; parents Fred and Minnie Hoffer; siblings Eleanor Scharosch, Florence Sutton, John Hoffer and Herman Hoffer.
Services and a Celebration of Life will be delayed until coronavirus restrictions are lifted and travel deemed safe by public health officials.
