Richard D. Jamieson was born January 29, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan and passed away peacefully January 20, 2012 in Centennial, Colorado, where he was surrounded by his family. Richard was preceded in death by his daughter Sara; parents George & Clair; his identical twin brother Edward, brother George and his sister Barbara. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Dee; children Jeff (Kelly), Julie (Todd) Schulz and Scott; grandchildren Sara, Jack, Caitlin and Parker; and his great grandson Connor. Richard was very involved in his parish as a extra ordinary Eucharistic Minister; an active softball and soccer coach; he and Dee fostered to 60 newborn children through Catholic Community Services over 8-year period. Richard spent most of his career in sales - primarily in the Steel Building Mfg industry. Richard was an avid sports fan, especially the Detroit Red Wings. Richard will be fondly remembered as husband, dad, and grandfather. Please join the family for a gathering on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. followed by a Recitation of the Rosary, 7:00 P.M., at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (one block to the west of South Holly Street), in Centennial, Colorado. A celebration of life mass will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2012, 11:00 A.M., at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 South Quebec Street, in Centennial, Colorado. A Committal Service follows at 2:30 P.M., at Fort Logan National Cemetery ~ Pavilion ""B"", 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, in Denver, Colorado. Memorial donations may be made in Richard's name to Agape Hospice, 6041 South Syracuse Way, Suite 220, Greenwood Village, Colorado 80111.
