Rich Johnson died Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in Westminster, CO. He was 72. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kansas. He was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity as well as the Air National Guard. A long time resident of Shawnee Mission, KS, Rich founded and owned Pronto Systems/Trans-Oil, LTD followed by Architectural Openings, Inc. He was later incorporated as R J Associates, LTD. specializing in small business consulting. He was a past member of Indian Hills CC and The Kansas City Club. In 2002, he relocated to Westminster, CO where he did small business consulting under the name of R J Associates, LTD. He was a volunteer marshal at Legacy Ridge Golf Course and a passionate expert woodworker. Surviving are wife, Shanon; son, Reed A. Johnson, Denver, CO and fiance Michelle Fournier; daughter, D.D. Johnson Gilbert and husband, Greg Gilbert and two granddaughters Paige and Avery Gilbert, Broomfield, CO; brother, Robert A. Johnson, Milwaukee, WI.; two nephews, Todd Johnson, Lawrence, KS and Kevin Johnson, Cold Spring, KY. Preceded in death were his parents Marge Johnson and Glen Johnson of Hutchinson. Celebration of Life to be held on Saturday, April 2, at 2pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 W. 80th Ave., Arvada, with a reception to follow.
