Richard Lincoln Korth passed away on Wednesday, December 14th, 2022, Richard, or Linc as he liked to be called later in life, was born on February 12, 1930 in Omaha, Nebraska.
Linc was a bright young man with a photographic memory and a penchant for math. Linc attended Creighton University and served in the army from 1948-1952. He was stationed in Hawaii and worked in an intelligence unit. Once he returned from Hawaii he proposed to (Cleo) Jean Yenney and they married on January 31, 1953 in Grand Island, Nebraska.
Richard worked at Commercial Federal Savings in Omaha for several years and was instrumental in upgrading the bank to computers. He would also head the data processing departments for the Federal Reserve in Chicago, IL and at Bank Western in Denver, CO.
Linc and Jean moved to Colorado in 1972 and enjoyed their life playing tennis, socializing with neighbors and raising their 3 children.
Linc was an avid model railroad enthusiast, read countless war books and had his pilots license. Linc retired from work in 1994 and traveled through the south to all the Civil War sites.
Jean died in 1995. Linc spent time traveling to the mountains, riding trains and building model railroad trains.
In 2004 he married Barb Larter. They traveled extensively through France, Switzerland and Greece. They became very involved in church and enjoyed dinner parties with friends. Linc loved his role as family patriarch to a large group of his relatives in Colorado and had fun at all the family get togethers.
Linc is survived by his three children, Susan Gruhn (Cliff, Omah, NE), Michael Korth (Nancilee, Parker, CO) and Ann Mathey (Steven, Parker, CO), his sister, Judy Luick (Gary, Henderson, NV), and 6 grandchildren.
