Richard P. ""Dick"" Madrid

November 15, 1938 — February 22, 2019

Richard P. ""Dick"" Madrid, 80 of Centennial, CO, passed away February 22, 2019. Dick was born November 15, 1938 to his parents Ruth and Paul Madrid.

Dick is survived by his wife: Carolyn Madrid, children; Beth Bramel (Rob), and Paul Eide; stepsons: Derrek (Kristina) Wardlow, and Darryl Wardlow; step-grandchilden: Cathryn Wardlow and Will Wardlow, sisters: Donna (Joe) Thomas and Jody (Bob) Allen.

He is preceded in death by parents: Ruth and Paul Madrid; son: R. Sean Madrid and sisters: Barbara Flint and Marlene Dominguez.

Dick attended St. Francis school in Denver for 10 of his 12 years of education. Following his graduation from St. Francis high school, he joined the Coast Guard where he committed 4 years of his life to serving his country.

Dick finished his working career employed by the City of Aurora Police Department as a Detention Officer. Dick further became the Senior City Marshall with the Aurora judicial system before retiring in April of 2001.

Dick enjoyed playing golf, traveling all around the world, going on cruises, dancing and taking walks around the neighborhood. Most of all, he truly loved his family and adored his 3 different papillon girl dogs.

Please no flowers at the request of the family. Donations may be made in Dick's honor to a Muscular Dystrophy organization, Law Enforcement agency, veteran charity or charity of your choosing.
