Richard Malick, husband, brother, father, grandfather, passed away from heart failure at the age of 84. He was a veteran and proudly served his country in the Army. Richard wed Anna in 1960 and they moved from Pennsylvania to Denver in 1962. He will be remembered for his quiet but witty sense of humor.
Richard, the oldest of two boys, was born on December 8, 1934 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to parents Eldon and Elaine. An avid train enthusiast, he had multiple trains set up and running at home and loved letting his daughters and four grandsons run the trains. He was a member of the TCA train club and participated in local train shows for many years. He also enjoyed being a member of the Cripple Creek and Lakewood Elks and spending time at his cabin in Cripple Creek. He loved cars and animals and if there was a dog nearby he was there petting it and enjoying every minute of it.
Richard worked in marketing for Texaco Oil & Gas Company for 24 years. After he retired he volunteered at the Arvada food bank for 15 years and enjoyed giving back to his community.
Richard was blessed with four wonderful grandsons whom he loved to spend time with. The family shared lots of fun times at the cabin in Cripple Creek.
Richard is survived by his wife of 58 years Anna (Bunny), two children, Lisa (Tim) Humiston and Linda (Jeff) Debruyn both of Lakewood, CO, four grandchildren Nick, Caden and Jake Debruyn and Connor Humiston. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Eldon and Elaine and his brother Ted Malick.
Richard's family extends its gratitude to everyone at Lutheran Collier Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion during this difficult time.
