Richard ""Mac"" McManus

Richard ""Mac"" McManus, age 76, passed away at University Hospital on Monday, March 2^nd after suffering a fall on January 18^th.

Born May 12, 1943 in Rockville Centre, New York. Mac lived in New York, New Jersey, Indiana and Colorado. He worked as an attorney, judge and a hearing officer. Mac was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Notre Dame Club, Catholic Lawyers Guild, The Cactus Club and the University Club. Prior to his move to southeast Denver, Mac was an active member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary for decades where he was a lector and Eucharistic Minister.

Mac is survived by his wife Hanna Tambunan; stepchildren: Dewi (James) Burton and Roy (Daisy) Tampbolon; step-grandchildren Austin Tampubolon, Lucia Burton, Alister Burton: brothers and sisters: Mary McManus, Genevieve (Gary) Tirpak, Lawrence McManus, Matthew McManus; nieces and nephews: Gary (Kristinia) Tirpak, Stephanie (Michael) Work, Cynthia (Brad) Cole, John (Blair) Tirpak, Christopher (Jenn) McManus, Ian McManus, Timothy McManus, Robert McManus; grandnieces and grandnephews: Katherine McManus, Bridgett McManus, Ryan Tirpak, Emily Tirpak, JJ Tirpak, Jordan Tirpak, Vincent Tirpak, Alexa Cole.

Mac is preceded in death by his parents Mary and Richard (Mac) McManus.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 11th at eleven o'clock in the morning at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 S Quebec St, Englewood, CO 80112. Reception held at the University Club from 3PM to 6PM following the funeral mass. Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W Kenyon Ave Denver, CO 80236, at 1:30 on Thursday, March 12th. All are welcome to all events including the Rosary and viewing held from 5:30PM to 6:30PM on Tuesday, March 10^th at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E Countyline Road, Centennial, CO 80122.

Memorial contributions are welcome to University of Notre Dame in memory of Richard ""Mac"" McManus class of '65.
