Richard Lee Schrepferman

July 6, 1928 — November 7, 2005

Richard L. Schrepferman died on November 7, 2005. He was born on July 6, 1928, in Denver, Colorado. He attended the Denver Public Schools and graduated from East Denver High School in 1946. He graduated from the University of Colorado in 1950 and from the University of Denver, College of Law in 1953. Richard practiced law in Denver with the law firm of Holme Roberts and Owen where he specialized in commercial litigation. He was Chairman of the Executive Committee and the Litigation Department. He was a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers. Richard was an elder of Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church and a member of the University Club, the Denver Country Club, the Teton Club and The Sinners. He served as Mayor of Cherry Hills Village. Richard played football at East High School and the University of Colorado. He was active in professional community affairs. He married Martha Ann Moyer in 1951. She predeceased him. In 1985 he married Vera Jean Knowlton who survives him. He is survived by a son Steven (Rae Lene) of Cody, Wyoming and three daughters Kristine (David) Warner of Denver, Gretchen (Joe) Sprague of Denver and Cynthia Schrepferman of Boulder. He is also survived by three step-daughters, Judy (John) Reins of Littleton, Kay (Jeff Childs) Knowlton of Guam and Joy (John) Kinney of Aurora. Ten grandchildren: Paul and Doug Schrepferman; Erinn and Austin Warner; Ben, Ellie and Billy Sprague; and Jack, Charlie and Sally Bevis. Five step-grandchildren: Tommy and Grace Reins and Hayley, Katharine and Tucker Kinney. A memorial service will be held at Montview Blvd. Presbyterian Church, 1980 Dahlia St., Denver, CO 80220 at 11:00am on Saturday, Nov.12th with a reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers send donations to Montview Blvd. Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice.
