Richard was a 1961 Graduate of Cathedral High School in Denver and earned a Marketing degree from the University of Colorado
Previously married, Dick, as he was known to family and friends, spent his last forty years happily single and devoted to his family and his career in various types of heavy equipment sales. He said that besides being with his family he was happiest in an airport awaiting his next flight to see his many customers and friends across the western United States and Alaska. In his spare time he was a volunteer and supporter of shelters and food banks in the communities where he lived which included Grand Junction, Southern California, Prescott, Arizona, Salt Lake City and his home town of Denver. He resided in Aurora since his return to Colorado in 1992. Dick’s generosity was boundless and he lovingly gave in many ways to those whose lives he touched, which were many. He is sorely missed by all.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Ellen and Elmer Sutliff of Aurora.
He is survived by his sister Sharon Sinner of Aurora; his brother Bill Sutliff and wife Irene Sutliff of Aurora; his nephews, Jeff Sinner and wife Crystal, and nephew Tim Sinner, all of Strasburg; his niece Kimberly Herndon and husband Randy Herndon and their son, Ricky Herndon of Aurora.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The Denver Rescue Mission or a local food bank.
