Richard Paul "Rich" Gutentag

On Friday February 26, 2021, Richard Paul Gutentag, loving father, son, and brother, passed away at the age of 55. Rich was born November 24, 1965 in Garden City, Kansas to Edwin and Anna Belle Gutentag. He grew up in Lakewood, Colorado with his parents and three brothers. Rich earned a Bachelors Degree from Metro State University in Denver, and subsequently served honorably as a police officer. During that time, Rich fathered twins Dillon and Savannah, who are 23 years old.

Rich blessed us with an infectious laugh, charismatic smile, and funny wit. He was devoted to his children, parents, and family. During his years as a police officer, he was a first responder to the Columbine tragedy, and we honor his valiant service.

Rich is survived by his mother Anna Belle Gutentag, children Dillon and Savannah, Robert and Nancy Gutentag, David and Diane Gutentag, Donald and Tracy Gutentag, several cousins, and many nieces and nephews. We will miss him.
