Ricky Alan Driscoll, age 64, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2023, in the presence of many relatives and friends.
Ricky was born and raised in Hotchkiss, Colorado. He left Hotchkiss to attend Western State College and Colorado State University. Upon completion of his studies he went to work as an iron worker with Iron Workers Local 24, until he retired in 2014. Ricky embraced the many friendships created with his co-workers as they helped create the Denver skyline, as well as building bridges and buildings throughout the Denver metropolitan area and Colorado. His fingerprints will remain etched on beams and bolts for generations still to come.
One of Ricky’s greatest passions was country dancing. Whether it was country swing with spins and dips or simply the rhythmic steps of dancing, he loved to be on the dance floor. It was on the dance floor where he met and fell in love with his wife Denee. Ricky enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid gardener growing a variety of vegetables, fruits, and flowers. His favorite flower was the red rose. Ricky was also a super sports fan, always supporting his Colorado teams, especially the Broncos and Avalanche.
Survivors include his wife Denee, his mother Linda, brothers Joel (Teresa) and Gary (Cheryl), daughters Chelsea (Dustin) and Rikki, five grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ricky was preceded in death by his father Larry, and his brother Shawn.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12pm, Monday, March 13, 2023 at Horan & McConaty, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, CO 80014
