Rita B. Cook

September 1, 1942 — June 7, 2020

Rita B. Cook passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2020 at the age of 77 in the ICU of North Suburban Medical Center. Her three children were blessed to be by her side when she passed.

Rita was born in Georgia but lived all over the world as a military brat and then later as a wife and mother. For over 50 years, her home has been Northglenn, Colorado, where she raised her children and actively participated in the lives of her grandchildren. Rita was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, a homemaker, and most notably, a ballroom dancer.

She is survived by her three children: Chris, Sheri, and Shannon; her four grandchildren: Josh, Kayla, Andrea, and Gavin; and her great grandchildren: Aiden, Sam, Trinity, Skylar, Aubree, and Bentley. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Wesley Cook. Five days prior to Rita's death, she quietly celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary; now she can celebrate with him in Heaven.

Rita will be remembered by her family in a private memorial at Red Feather Lakes where she will join her husband Wesley in his final resting place. Please do not send flowers. Memorial contributions to the Colorado Humane Society & SPCA can be made in Rita's name at: https://coloradohumane.org/donate/ Thank you for all of the calls, visits, and love. Please continue to share stories about Rita with her children and with each other so she will never be forgotten.
