Rita "Grandma K" died on February 17, 2007 at Swedish Medical Center after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on April 21, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois to Albert Joseph and Clara B. Kremer. She attended Farragut High School where she met her husband. Rita attended St. Anne's Nursing School in Chicago and later was married on February 27, 1943. She was one of the co-founders of the Theresians Chapter of Colorado in the early 1960's. She was very active in the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Louis Parish in Englewood, where her children attended. She started the St. Patrick's Circle which provided funeral lunches for parish members. More recently, Rita was a very active member of the Rosamond Park Garden Club of Denver and contributed in many ways to the organization. Rita lived her life for Christ; the minute you met her you could sense the special love she possessed. Many people were attracted to this love, the love of Christ, which passed through her to others throughout her life. She is survived by her children Marcia (Michael) Gimeson, Joan (Dennis) Baumgartner, Linda (Dan) Creamer, A. Joe (Tanya) Kukral, and Michelle M. Kukral, twenty grandchildren, fifteen great- grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, three nephews and two nieces. She was well loved and will be sorely missed by numerous extended family members, neighbors, and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 21st from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday Noon until 6:30 p.m. followed by the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. All will be held at Horan and McConaty Funeral Service, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave. at S. Parker Rd., Aurora, CO. Funeral Mass will be Friday Feb. 23, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Risen Christ, 3060 S. Monaco Parkway, Denver, CO. Services will conclude at the church.
